“Arada” is the story of three Turkish men who grew up in Switzerland but must suffer the reality of deportation to their parents’ native land of Turkey. With their banishment for crimes as well as their detention, they are punished twice. Now they live in a land that is not theirs; a country that is moving faster and faster towards dictatorship; a place that is becoming stranger to them than ever before. Together, they try to maintain their Swiss identity and way of life in exile. They all share a singular goal: returning to Switzerland.
